    You need to enclose that terminal block strip in a junction box like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/5a-4-terminal-junction-box-white/8906D then it'll be fine

    Looking at a bungalow today to determine safety of the electrics and first thing I see is where the kitchen has been taken out and the earth bonding to the hot and cold water pipes is loose on one and disconnected on the other.
